BOSTON – Opening the month of February, the Boston University women's basketball program travels to Holy Cross for a Turnpike Trophy battle on Monday (Feb. 2). Opening tip is set for 4:30 p.m.

Monday features a Turnpike Trophy doubleheader from Worcester, Mass. as the men's basketball team tips off at 7 p.m. Both games air on the CBS Sports Network. Brian Maurer (COM'07) and John Papale (CGS'14, CAS'15, MET'17) will provide an audio-only broadcast on GoTerriers.com. Live statistics are available through Holy Cross Athletics while the Patriot League provides an international stream.

BU (7-14, 3-7 PL) enters the month tied for eighth in the Patriot League standings. The Terriers are 2-3 in road games during conference play and 4-7 overall, shooting 42.1 percent from the field and averaging 34.1 rebounds per game.

Holy Cross (13-8, 7-3 PL) is 8-3 at home in 2025-26, winning four of its last five contests. Since Nov. 16, the Crusaders are unbeaten when allowing fewer than 60 points.

TERRIER TIDBITS

BU sustained a 62-51 loss to Bucknell on Jan. 31 at Case Gym.
The Terriers coughed up 12 first-half turnovers and were held scoreless for about five minutes in the fourth quarter after trimming the deficit to five points.
Senior Anete Adler was the lone Terrier in double figures with 12 points.
Junior Aoibhe Gormley surpassed 200 career assists last week. In her career, she sports a 1.96 assist/turnover ratio.
Five Terriers have improved on their scoring averages from last season: Adler (8.1 points per game to 14.4), juniors Bella McLaughlin (6.2 to 6.3) and Inés Monteagudo Pardo (4.1 to 5.4), and sophomores Rose Azmoudeh (0.8 to 4.8) and Hildur Gunnsteinsdóttir (0.9 to 5.4).
Entering Monday, McLaughlin has made 17 of her last 31 shots, good for 54.8 percent.
BU is averaging 67.3 points per game in wins on 47.7 percent shooting, but 52.1 points on a .409 clip in losses.
Holy Cross is the final Patriot League opponent the Terriers have yet to face this season.

SCOUTING HOLY CROSS

The Crusaders have won four of their last five games, most recently dispatching Army West Point at home, 64-38.
During Patriot League play, Holy Cross leads its counterparts in scoring defense and opponent field goal percentage.
Meg Cahalan is the lone Crusader averaging double digits at 14.6 points per game.
Preseason All-Patriot League selection Kaitlyn Flanagan is second in the conference with 83 assists.
Holy Cross was projected to finish fourth in the Patriot League preseason poll, garnering two first-place votes.
Last season, the Crusaders reached the Patriot League semifinal round, going 11-7 in Patriot League play and 19-12 overall.

SERIES HISTORY

Monday marks the 42nd all-time meeting between BU and Holy Cross in a series that began in 1976.
The Crusaders sport a 25-16 edge in the rivalry, winning five of the last seven contests.
On the road, BU is 6-14 at Holy Cross.
The two teams split the regular season series in 2024-25, winning their respective home contests.
In BU's 52-49 victory on Jan. 27, Adler dropped 19 points off the bench to lead three Terriers in double figures.
