Varnerin Named to Men's Lacrosse Leadership Group

BOSTON - Junior Donald Varnerin of the Boston University men's lacrosse team has been named to the team's leadership group, head coach Ryan Polley announced on Tuesday.
Varnerin joins seniors Charlie Huntley, Connor Kehm and Jimmy Kohr as a captain. All four are first-time captains of the Terriers.
A native of Westwood, Massachusetts, Varnerin has been excellent in his first two games of 2026. The Terriers' starting LSM has scored a goal in each contest. He also gathered two ground balls and caused two turnovers in last Friday's 23-7 win over Siena. Last season, he appeared in all 16 games, setting career highs in ground balls (48), caused turnovers (18), goals (4), assists (1) and points (5). For his career, Varnerin has appeared in 56 games, totaling eight points (7g, 1a), 56 ground balls and 21 caused turnovers.
