March 25, 2026 | Softball
BOSTON – After helping the Boston University softball team win all five games with a stellar .789 on-base percentage, junior Sophie Naivar claimed a spot on NCAA Softball's Lineup of the Week, as announced by the selector, Michella Chester.
The Mont Belvieu, Texas, native went a combined 7-for-11 (.636) with seven walks, seven runs scored, four RBIs, two doubles and a hit-by-pitch.
One of three outfielders placed in the lineup, Naivar started off the week batting a perfect 2-for-2 in the first contest against Stonehill with two runs scored. During the three-game series at Lafayette, she went 4-for-5 with a program record-tying four walks alone in the first game. She followed up with two hits apiece in each of the last two wins over the Leopards.
BU will start off a nine-game homestand against defending Big East champion later today (Tuesday) at 3 p.m. and then next host Lehigh in a Patriot League weekend series.
