
Brändli, Healey, Kelly Selected in PWHL Draft

DETROIT – Three Terriers of the Boston University women's ice hockey program were selected in the 2026 PWHL draft. Andrea Brändli, Sydney Healey and Maeve Kelly were all drafted in this year's draft.
Brändli became the third-ever Terrier to be selected in the PWHL draft and is PWHL Detroit's first-ever draft pick. She recently represented BU at the 2026 Winter Olympics where she backed Switzerland to its first medal in 12 years, winning bronze. Brändli was the SDHL Goalie of the Year and will head to Detroit for its inaugural season. The Switzerland native is the highest draft pick for BU since the creation of the PWHL in 2023.
Healey was selected in the sicth round as the 65th overall pick by PWHL Las Vegas. The recent Terrier graduate accrued 29 points off 18 goals and 11 assists in her senior season. In her junior year, she notably lifted the Terriers to the Hockey East title with her overtime game-winner to give BU its first league title since 2015. She is the fourth Terrier to be drafted in the PWHL.
Maeve Kelly was selected by the Boston Fleet and is BU's first draft pick to the organization. The defender totaled nine points off one goal and eight assists. She had one game-winner in 2025-26 and 29 blocks.
