Ben Knight, who enters his fourth season with the Terriers, began his time at Boston University as a volunteer assistant coach for the 2013 season and was officially hired as an assistant coach in February 2014.
Knight primarily works with the Terrier goalkeeping personnel and had his starting keeper, Alyssa Parisi, earn Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Year honors as well as Patriot League Women's Soccer Student-Athlete of the Year distinction last season.
Prior to BU, Knight worked with the Wheaton College men's soccer team as an assistant coach where he was in charge of the training and evaluation of goalkeepers while also playing a role in scouting, game planning and recruiting.
Before Wheaton, Knight spent a year with the women's soccer program at Holy Cross as the goalkeeper coach. He has also worked with the New England Futbol Club (NEFC) U11 and U21 boys teams.
Knight also spent four summers from 2007 to 2011 working as a coach at the SoccerPlus Goalkeeper School in Hartford, Conn.
Knight earned his NSCAA Advanced National Diploma in 2011 and also holds a NSCAA Regional Goalkeeping Diploma.
The McDaniel College grad completed his degree in exercise science in 2010 and held minors in sport coaching and sport management.
