Michael Eineker Named Assistant Women's Basketball Coach

BOSTON, MASS - Michael Eineker has been named an assistant women's basketball coach at Boston University, head coach Margaret McKeon announced on Sept. 7.
Eineker spent the past two seasons as head women's basketball coach at Division II Bloomfield College, leading the team to the semifinal round of the CACC tournament in 1999. While at Bloomfield, Eineker assisted administrative personnel during the school's move to Division II status. He also directed Lady Deacon Basketball Clinics during his tenure.
"I'm very excited to have Michael at Boston University," McKeon said. "He has tremendous basketball knowledge and will help our inside game a great deal."
Prior to coaching at Bloomfield, Eineker served as assistant women's basketball coach at Lafayette College in Easton, PA from 1996-1998. At Lafayette, he was responsible for recruiting, scouting, film exchange, and weight training, working primarily with the team's post players. Eineker worked as a volunteer assistant for the Princeton University women's basketball team in 1995-96.
Eineker was a two-year letterwinner for the Caldwell College men's basketball team, playing the guard and forward positions.
He graduated from Montclair State University in 1995 with a BA in Humanities and Social Studies.
Eineker's primary responsibilities at Boston University will be assisting with the team's post players, scouting, tape exchange, and running camps.
Boston University will open the 2000-2001 season hosting the Boston University Basketball Invitational on November 18 featuring Baylor, Miami (OH) and Yale.
