Argentieri Leads Terriers Past Rival Harvard, 93-77

BOSTON - Junior guard Alison Argentieri scored a career-high 25 points, connecting on 6-of-7 from three-point range to lead visiting Boston University over Harvard, 93-77, Tuesday night at Lavietes Pavilion.
Argentieri, one of four Terriers to score in double-figures, was 7-for-10 from the field on the night and added a team-high six assists.
Both teams shot exceptionally well from the field in first half, with Harvard shooting 60 percent and B.U. at 58 percent.
Argentieri (Hornell, NY) gave the Terriers their biggest lead of the first half when she connected on three three-pointers in a two-minute span midway through the period.
Sophomore guard Katie Terhune (Port Murray, NJ), who came into the game averaging 18.5 points per game, scored a season-high 20 points with three assists and was a perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line. With 5:03 remaining in the half, Terhune had a no-look, behind-the-back feed to freshman Larissa Parr (Eau Claire, WI) for an easy lay-in, putting the Terriers up 35-30.
B.U. led 44-39 at the break, and Argentieri made three more three-pointers as the Terriers opened their largest lead, 73-55, with seven minutes to go in the game. Her six three-pointers were also a career high.
Sophomore Marisa Moseley (Longmeadow, MA) and senior Dia Dufault (Malone, NY) were the other Terriers in double-figures, with 14 and 10 points, respectively. Moseley was 6-for-6 from the field, while Dufault was a rebound short of a double-double, grabbing nine boards.
Sophomore Hana Peljto led the Crimson offensively, scoring 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field and adding 11 assists. The 93 points scored by the Terriers was the largest point total scored against the Crimson in the all-time series. The Terriers now lead the series, 9-8.
The Terriers (2-1) travel to Bethlehem, PA for the Christmas City Classic where they take on Delaware State in the first round on Saturday, November 24. Game time is 1 p.m.
