Terhune Earns Her Second Player of the Week Honor

BOSTON - Sophomore guard Katie Terhune (Port Murray, NJ) was named the Spalding America East Player of the Week for the second time this season after scoring a career-high 33 points against Yale last Wednesday (Dec. 5). In the week of Nov.19-26, Terhune earned Player of the Week accolades when she led the Terriers to the Christmas City Classic Tournament Championship.
In the Terriers' 76-67 win over Yale, Terhune was 3-for-4 from three-point range and 14-of-16 from the free throw line. The Bulldogs went on a 19-5 run to open the second half when Terhune answered, scoring 14 of her 33 points in the final eight minutes to seal the Terrier victory.
Terhune is averaging a conference-best 21.0 points per game, while leading the Terriers in scoring in seven of their eight games. Terhune leads the team in three-point field goal percentage (.444) and is second on the team in free throw percentage (.846) and steals (1.8 spg).
The Terriers, who are 6-2, are off to their best start in seven seasons and are in second place in the league standings behind Binghamton.
B.U., which has won five of its last six games, is off until December 21st when it hosts Saint Joseph's at 7 p.m.
