Field Hockey Shut Out At Boston College, 1-0

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston University field hockey team did not record a shot against cross-town rival Boston College, falling to the 14th-ranked Eagles, 1-0, at BC's Alumni Stadium on Wednesday night.
BC's freshman back Meg Palisoul scored the only goal of the game eight minutes into the contest, connecting on a putback of an initial shot by junior forward Kim French. The Eagles outshot the Terriers, 10-0, while leading in penalty corners, 5-2.
The Eagles (4-0) controlled the action for much of the game, but it was the Terriers who grabbed the momentum late in the game, manufacturing a number of offensive opportunities, none of which resulted in a shot, however.
B. U. senior goalkeeper Susan Harrington (Tuftonboro, NH) made six saves for B. U. Harrington has given up only one goal in each of the Terriers' games this season. BC's junior goalkeeper Lauren Hill collected her third shutout of the season. B. U. (2-2) will next participate in the University of Maryland's Terrapin Classic in College Park, Md. On Friday, Sept. 13, the Terriers face American University at 4 p.m. They play No. 1 Maryland on Sunday, Sept. 15. Game time is 2 p.m.
