HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first half provided few scoring chances and the teams headed into the break scoreless with four shots apiece.
- In the 37th minute, Colgate earned back-to-back corners and drew a foul on the latter, resulting in a penalty stroke.
- The Terriers brought in senior goalkeeper Sophie Ortyl to face the shot and she was up to the task, diving to her right for a stick save on a low effort from Lauren Widdowson.
- The Raiders, however, were able to record the game's first goal less than a minute later as Elizabeth Rogers found Morgan Willis in the middle of the circle off a restart and Willis lofted the ball over the reach of BU netminder Anna Wilson at the 37:38 mark.
- BU used a restart of its own to notch an equalizer before the end of the third.
- Freshman Milena Franco Ferreiro corralled the ball after a whistle and dribbled it five yards to her right just outside the circle before drilling the ball towards the right post, where O'Brien was stationed for a redirect to the back of the cage with 46 seconds left in the third.
- BU dominated play in the fourth, holding an 8-0 shot advantage and a 4-0 advantage in corners.
- On the final corner of the game, the play was set up for Lauro at the top of the circle and the senior delivered, drilling an elevated shot to the top of the boards just inside the left post at the 55:04 mark.
- Sophomore Molly Driscoll inserted the ball on the game-winning corner and freshman Jenna Park set up the shot for Lauro.
