BOSTON - Two-time defending America East Champion Boston University is ranked 11th in the nation in the annual pre-season poll conducted by the editors of Lacrosse Magazine.
The Terriers return nine starters and 17 letterwinners from the 2003 squad that captured the America East title, earned a bid to the NCAA Tournament, and compiled a 14-5 overall record.
Among the returnees are Third Team All-American midfielder Alyssa Trudel (Shoreham, VT) and Regional All-Americans Anne Sheridan (Baltimore, MD), Sasha Lang (Cornish, NH), and Lindsay Lewis.
Trudel, the 2003 America East Player of the Year, ranked third in the nation in assists (42) and fourth in the nation in points (86) last season as a sophomore. Entering her junior campaign, Trudel ranks seventh on B.U.'s career scoring list with 139 points off 77 goals and 62 assists.

In June of 2003, Sheridan was selected to the U.S. Developmental Team, the team that serves as a recruiting pool for the U.S. National Team.
One of six seniors on the Terrier roster, Lang enters her final season ranked fourth in career caused turnovers with 62 and seventh in career draw controls with 65. As a junior, Lang earned America East Defender of the Year and North Region All-America Second Team honors.
Lewis started all 19 games as a freshman, totaling 40 goals and 12 assists for 52 points while earning North Region All-America Second Team honors. Lewis is part of a talented sophomore class that accounted 128 of the team's 242 goals in 2003.
