AUSTIN, Texas - Fresh off its 19-point victory over Yale, the Boston University women's basketball team (1-1) will take on No. 17 Texas (2-0) on Sunday afternoon at UT's Erwin Center. Tip-off is slated for 1 p.m. CT.
THE TERRIERS: Just two games into the season and the Terriers have already seen two career performances out of two of their starters as senior Kerry Cashman and sophomore Mo Moran put in two impressive showings against Yale on Wednesday night. Cashman recorded her first career double-double with 18 points and 10 boards, while Moran earned the program's first triple-double in nearly six years after posting 15 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists. Moran is just the third Terrier to ever accomplish the feat.
Last season, BU picked up the program's first-ever win over a ranked opponent when it defeated conference foe No. 24 Vermont, 73-64, at Case Gym on Jan. 18, 2010 after rallying from a 16-point deficit. The 19th-ranked Longhorns are the highest ranked opponent BU has faced since matching up with No. 16 Ohio State back in 2007.
BU VS. TEXAS: Sunday's match-up is the first meeting between the two squads. However, back in 2006, the Terriers did face off with Texas head coach Gail Goestenkors when she was at the helm of the nationally-ranked Duke program. The then-No. 3 Blue Devils defeated BU by a 72-42 margin in the Blue Sky Classic in Hanover, N.H., on Dec. 30, 2006.
BU VS. THE BIG 12: The Terriers are 2-7 all-time against the Big 12, with its most recent meeting coming against Kansas back on Dec. 30, 2007 - a 71-57 loss. BU's two wins have come against Kansas State (1981) and Texas A&M (1979).

LAST TIME OUT VS. THE BIG 12 (DEC. 9, 2009): Jesyka Burks-Wiley ('09) posted 20 points for the second-consecutive game, however, the women's basketball team dropped a 71-57 decision to Kansas on Dec. 30, 2007.
Playing just 30 minutes from her hometown of Kansas City, Mo., Burks-Wiley posted her 10th double-figure scoring game and fourth consecutive on 9-for-17 shooting from the field. She was 2-for-3 from three-point range and brought down nine boards.
Corinne Jean ('08) was 5-for-10 from the field and knocked down two 3-pointers to post 12 points, while Christine Kinneary ('09) dished out seven assists. Kasey Devine ('08) swatted five shots and Amarachi Umez-Eronini ('09) earned four steals.
In a game that saw four lead changes, BU collected 30 rebounds - 21 defensive - and shot 43.9 percent from the field. The Terriers put up 22 points off turnovers and 23 points came from the BU bench.
NEXT UP: BU will make a quick turnaround and host crosstown for Harvard on Tuesday, Nov. 23 at Case Gym. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT: (Yale - Nov. 17, 2010) Sophomore Mo Moran recorded the program's first triple-double in nearly six years and senior Kerry Cashman earned her first career double-double as the women's basketball team cruised to an 83-64 victory over Yale on Wednesday night at the Roof.
Moran posted career highs for rebounds (12) and assists (11) to go along with 15 points to become the first women's basketball player to earn a triple-double since Adrienne Norris accomplished the feat on Feb. 4, 2004. Moran is just the third Terrier to achieve this, and it's the seventh time it's happened since the program's inception - BU Hall of Famer Debbie Miller (`81), whose name hangs in the rafters, had five during her outstanding career.
Not to be outdone, Cashman scored a career-high 18 points and pulled in 10 boards en route to her first career double-double.
Also reaching double figures was junior Alex Young with 17 points and sophomore Chantell Alford with 11. Senior Caroline Stewart added eight boards and six points, and sophomore Kristen Sims came in off the bench to post eight points.
As a team, BU came at the Bulldogs hard, scoring 52 points in the paint, while holding them to just 22 inside. The Terriers forced 20 Yale turnovers and converted on 15 points in that situation. BU shot 48.6 percent for the game from the field and sank five treys.
SEEING TRIPLE: Mo Moran's triple-double was just the seventh time in the program's history that a Terrier has recorded a triple-double. Overall only three players have accomplished the rare feat and no one had done it since 2006. Below is a list of all the triple-doubles over the last 31 years.
