BOSTON – Coming off a week-long break, the Boston University men's soccer team will host Lafayette in Patriot League action Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. The Alumni Day festivities will kick off at 12 p.m. with the alumni game.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- The Terriers (0-2-2 PL) are currently ninth in the PL standings at two points with five games remaining in conference play but can move within one of No. 5 Lafayette (2-2-0 PL) with a win Saturday.
- BU is 3-2-0 at home this season with wins over UMass (2-1), Northeastern (3-0) and Brown (2-0) but is still seeking its first conference win following losses to American (2-0) and Colgate (2-1).
- Senior Felix De Bona netted his second-career multi-goal performance last Saturday at Loyola Maryland to move into a tie for first on the team with junior Anthony Viteri at five goals apiece ... Viteri still leads in points overall due to a pair of assists.
- Senior Mark Wadid became the sixth Terrier to score a goal this season against the Greyhounds, while junior Adam Sheikali became the 10th to record a point following his assist on a long free kick that was headed in by De Bona.
- BU has allowed 11 goals in the last five games after allowing six total through the first five contests.
- Senior Matt Gilbert leads the PL with 4.90 saves per game while recording a .742 save percentage and 1.64 goals against average.
- Currently on a two-game winless streak with 3-0 home loss to American and 0-0 draw against NJIT, the Leopards have proven to be a superior team on the road this season with a 5-2-0 record compared to their 1-4-1 home mark.
- Lafayette has shut out its last four road opponents with wins over Bucknell (1-0), Army West Point (2-0), Fairleigh Dickinson (1-0) and Yale (2-0) ... Also own a 3-1 win over Fordham with losses to Quinnipiac (2-0) and Albany (1-0).
- Evan Vare leads with 13 points and scored six of the Leopards' 11 goals this season.
- Three Leopards have recorded two assists apiece, as Lafayette has been shut out seven times this season.

- Two minutes into overtime, De Bona played a cross into the box, and during a wild scramble near the goal line, junior Danny Foen managed to push the ball over the line for the golden goal.

- BU owns a 2-1-0 advantage in the series with a 2-0 road loss in the first meeting in 2013.
- In the last Nickerson Field meeting in 2014, the Terriers won 3-1 despite trailing in shot attempts, 14-12.
