Boston Collects PL Offensive Player of the Week Honors

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - After scoring the late game-winner on Saturday to push the No. 23 Boston University field hockey team into sole possession of first place in the Patriot League standings, senior co-captain Grace Boston has been named the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week.
The Terriers hosted No. 24 American in a match-up of the only two undefeated teams in Patriot League play and held a 1-0 lead for the majority of the contest before the visiting Eagles tied it up with 7:52 left in regulation. BU earned a late corner and took full advantage of it as Boston redirected an offering from junior Ally Hammel that was saved but quickly followed up the rebound at the left post and punched it in at the 64:02 mark.
The goal was Boston's fourth of the year as the senior ranks third on the team in points with 10. Three of Boston's goals have been game-winners.
This is the first Patriot League weekly award of Boston's career.
The Terriers return to action on Friday (Oct. 13) when they travel to face Holy Cross in the annual Turnpike Trophy contest. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
