
Shumock Selected to Play in 2017 NFHCA Division I Senior Game

The 2017 Victory Sports Tours/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division I Senior Game roster was announced on Wednesday and senior midfielder Kali Shumock (Bethlehem, Pa.) was one of 38 student-athletes selected nationwide as a participant for the contest, which will be held on Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. at the University of Louisville.
Shumock, a co-captain for the Terriers, is putting together the best year of her career with 14 points on three goals and eight assists. Her assist total ranks tied for first among Patriot League players and she is second on this year's BU squad in points. In 76 career games, Shumock has tallied 30 points on eight goals and 14 assists. She was named to this year's Preseason All-Patriot League Team and has developed into one of the top midfielders both in the league and regionally.
This gives the Terriers 13 players in the past 11 seasons who have earn a spot on a Senior Game roster, joining Amanda Cassera (2016), Ellie Landsman (2016), Valentina Cerda Eimbcke (2014), Ysi Schieb (2013), Jess Maroney (2012), Nicole van Oosterom (2012), Kate Murphy (2011), Allie Dolce (2010), Amanda Smith (2010), Nikki Lloyd (2009), Sarah Shute (2007) and Pam Spuehler (2007).
The Senior Game contest will be played following the semifinals of the NCAA Division I Field Hockey Tournament, which takes place on Nov. 17 at 2 and 4:45 p.m. at Louisville. The NCAA Division I Field Hockey Championship will be held on Nov. 19 at 2 p.m.
