BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After dropping a hard-fought doubles point, the No. 2-seed Boston University women's tennis team was victorious in four singles matches, including three in straight sets, to rally past No. 3 Navy, 4-2, for the program's fourth-straight Patriot League semifinal win on Saturday afternoon at Lehigh's Ulrich Varsity Courts.

MATCH NOTES

BU and Navy split the top two doubles matches with junior Iryna Kostirko and sophomore Sabrina Faybyshev claiming a 7-5 win at line 2.
The Mids claimed a 6-3 win in the No. 3 slot before edging senior Madison Craft and sophomore Sophia Kryloff, 7-6(5) at line 3 to grab a 1-0 advantage.
Navy's lead quickly evaporated, as Kostirko rolled to a 6-4, 6-2 win in the top singles match.
Both sophomore Remi Ramos and senior Barbara Rodriguez rebounded from their No. 1 doubles loss with straight-set singles victories ... Ramos dropped just four games total for a 6-2, 6-2 win in the No. 2 slot, while Rodriguez earned a hard-fought 6-4, 7-5 win at line 3.
Navy's Kaylah Hodge tried to keep the Mids' hopes alive by rallying past Craft, 2-6, 6-2, 6-3 at line 5, but Faybyshev shut the door at No. 4 with a 6-7(6), 6-0, 6-2 victory.
Kryloff was ahead 3-6, 6-4, 5-2 at line 6 when her match was halted.

NEXT UP

The Terriers will next face top seed Army West Point on Sunday with the Patriot League title and automatic NCAA berth up for grabs.
BU has won all three titles since joining the Patriot League, including one against the Black Knights in 2014.
Army however will have plenty of confidence after earlier edging the Terriers, 4-2, back on April 15 at West Point.
