BOSTON - The Boston University women's soccer team will return to the road as it visits Lafayette on Sunday, Oct. 1 with kickoff slated for 1 p.m.

Christina Wakefield netted her team-best fourth goal of the season and earned Turnpike Trophy MVP honors as BU blanked Holy Cross, 1-0, on Wednesday.
Wakefield's score came in the 13th minute on a header in the box from a deep cross by Anna Heilferty.

Anna Heilferty ranks second on the team in goals (2) and points (6).
Amanda Fay picked up her third straight shutout on Saturday. Fay holds a 0.56 goals against average and a .786 save percentage.
Fay is one of two Patriot League netminders who have not surrendered a goal against a conference opponent.

Patriot League Dominance

Since joining the Patriot League in 2013, the Terriers have dominated, posting a 33-3-3 record with four regular season championships and three tournament titles.

Scouting The Leopards

Lafayette downed Army, 1-0, on Wednesday for its first Patriot League victory and improved to 3-4-2 on the season.
Katie Brannigan and Krista Kissell lead the team with two goals apiece, while Gabrielle Martone has posted a team-best three assists.
Maggie Pohl has started all nine games in net, though Kelly O'Brien has posted more minutes in frame. O'Brien leads in save percentage (.805) and Pohl claims the lower goals against average (1.56).

The Series

BU has taken all four of its games against the Leopards and owns a 15-1 goal advantage.
Jesse Shreck and McKenna Doyle scored two of BU's three goals in the first half of last season's 3-0 victory.
