CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - After excelling in the classroom and helping Boston University post a perfect 6-0 record in conference play, senior co-captain Allie Doggett has been named to the 2018 Academic All-Patriot League Field Hockey Team, it was announced by the league office on Wednesday.
To be eligible for an Academic All-Patriot League Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and be a starter or key player in his/her sport.
A business administration & management major, Doggett has a 3.56 cumulative GPA in the Questrom School of Business and has been named the NFHCA National Academic Squad and the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll each of the past three seasons.
Doggett earned her second straight All-Patriot League First Team honor on Tuesday after turning in another impressive regular season on both sides of the field. An offensive catalyst and a tough defender, the Watertown native will try to help the Terriers capture their third Patriot League tournament title in four years this weekend at New Balance Field.
Doggett is the seventh Terrier to be named to an Academic All-PL Team, joining classmate Kathleen Keegan (2017), Grace Boston (2017), Kali Shumock (2017), Ellie Landsman (2016), Rachel Coll (2015) and Hester van der Laan (2015).
