The Boston University field hockey team will make the program's first-ever visit to Bryant on Friday (Sept. 18) to kick off a three-game road stretch. Game time in Smithfield is set for 4 p.m.
The Terriers will then travel north to face New Hampshire on Sunday (Sept. 20) at noon.
Both games will be broadcast for free at AmericaEast.tv.

- The Terriers are coming off two overtime losses last weekend, most recently a 3-2 home contest to Maine on Sunday.
- Sophomore Lucy Johnson has scored in four of the team's six games this season and leads the team in points (13) and goals (6).
- Senior Alex Purcell has nine points (3g, 3a) this season after entering the year with four points in her BU career.
- Graduate student Maddie Hudson, who has missed three full seasons due to injury, has added eight points on three goals and two assists.
- Graduate student Caroline O'Brien and senior Nicole Lauro were named to the Preseason All-Patriot League Team and joined senior Olivia Hammer, senior Maggie Driscoll and sophomore Molly Driscoll on the 2026 NFHCA Collegiate Watchlist.
- Senior Sophie Ortyl earned 17 starts in goal last season and tied a career high with 10 saves against Providence on Aug. 30.
- BU was selected to finish third in the Patriot League preseason poll behind American and Lafayette.
- Hudson and Maggie Driscoll are serving as co-captains for the 2026 season.
- Bryant is 3-3 on the season with splits in three straight weekends.Â
- The Bulldogs are coming off a 3-1 loss at Holy Cross on Sunday after a 3-1 win over Stonehill on Friday.
- Bryant's other two wins came against Hofstra and Merrimack.
- Sophomore Maddy DeFilippo leads the team with seven points on three goals and an assist while senior Callie Caito has added three goals.
- Junior Maud van Lierop has played the majority of time in goal with five starts and sports a 1.50 goals-against average and a .720 save percentage.
SERIES HISTORY VS. BRYANT
- BU and Bryant have met only twice before with both games taking place at New Balance Field.
- The Terriers opened the 2017 season with a 4-0 win over the Bulldogs.
- Last season, BU used a hat trick from Caroline O'Brien to post a 3-0 victory over Bryant.
- UNH is 1-4 on the season but three of the losses came against ranked opponents, most recently a 6-0 defeat at UMass on Sept. 13.Â
- The Wildcats' win came against Central Michigan on Sept. 6.
- UNH returned five starters from last year's team, which won the America East title.Â
