BOSTON – After honoring senior Iryna Kostirko, the Boston University women's tennis team will face Atlantic 10 foe Rhode Island at the Track & Tennis Center on Friday afternoon with doubles action slated to begin at 3 p.m.
The Terriers (6-9) are a perfect 4-0 at home following sweeps over Binghamton, Bryant and Holy Cross and a 5-2 victory against Liberty. They will look to snap a two-match losing streak in which they they fell to No. 44 Old Dominion and North Texas.
URI (1-11) previously faced one Patriot League opponent on the road and fell to Army West Point, 6-1. The Rams' lone win this season came against Monmouth (7-0) back on Oct. 7.
Following the contest, the Terriers will next visit Storrs, Connecticut, for a pair of matchups on April 7-8 against the Huskies and Memphis.
