
Belval, Magnelli to Play in IWLCA Senior All-Star Game

GRAND LAKE, Colo. - Boston University women's lacrosse seniors Kaitlin Belval and Tonianne Magnelli have accepted an invitation to compete in the IWLCA Senior All-Star game, as announced by the organization Friday.
The duo were two of 44 NCAA DI women's lacrosse seniors to accept an invitation to compete. The game will be held at the US Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md. on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 1:15 p.m. Admission is free and the game can additionally be seen on IWLCA-tv.com.
Belval saved her best for last as she lead the Terriers with 31 goals to earn her second straight All-Patriot League selection and first nod to the First Team. The senior midfielder also set new career highs of 17 caused turnovers and 39 points. Additionally, she came away with 74 draw controls and posted 11 multi-goal games.
An equally imposing force on the defensive end, Magnelli keyed in on the opponent's top offensive threat and ranked second on the team in ground balls (34) and caused turnovers (25). Additionally, she won 81 draw controls, the second-most in a single season in Terrier history, and was a two-time All-Patriot League First Team and IWLCA All-Northeast Region Second Team honoree. Magnelli was also a two-time Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week and was one of three Terriers to start all 18 games.
