BOSTON - The Boston University men's and women's lacrosse programs have named Carly Randall as their new director of operations, head coaches Ryan Polley and Lauren Morton announced on Wednesday.
Randall arrives at BU following a two-year stint as an assistant coach at Wesleyan. She was only able to coach four games during her time at Wesleyan due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the Cardinals won all four contests with Randall on the sideline.
Prior to her tenure at Wesleyan, Randall was a program director for Harlem Lacrosse at Young Achievers Middle School in Boston. While there, Randall developed and led practice plans for beginner to intermediate players year-round.
"We are excited to add Carly to both programs," Polley and Morton said. "The fact that Carly has been both a collegiate coach and a program director for Harlem Lacrosse makes her a perfect fit for what is needed from the position. She not only has experience running the day-to-day operations of a lacrosse program, but she also understands the demands of being a coach."
Randall was a four-year member of the Syracuse women's lacrosse team and graduated cum laude in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in education with a minor in sociology. She was named the Fred Brightman Scholar-Athlete Award winner by the Syracuse University Alumni Club of Rochester in 2017 and was a nominee for the Soladay Award, which is considered the most prestigious award given to a student-athlete by the Syracuse Department of Athletics.
