BOSTON — The Boston University women's lacrosse team will wrap up a four-game home stand on Tuesday (March 17) as they host the Cornell Big Red at Nickerson Field.

TERRIER TIDBITS
- The Terriers toppled Patriot League foe Lafayette on Saturday, 12-10.
- BU used a seven-goal second quarter to propel itself to a victory over the Leopards, who outscored BU 5-2 in the second half.
- Freshman Makenzie McDevitt and junior Tessa Geddes each scored four goals, while Geddes also added an assist in the victory.
- Freshman Gabby O'Brien, junior Izabella Amonte, senior Elle Stevenson and junior Reilly Walsh all notched a goal as well, and freshman Avery Cutair posted two assists.
- The game marked the 10th win over the Leopards in program history.
- BU went 3-for-5 on free position shots in the win.
- Stevenson leads the Terriers in goals with 22 and is sixth in the Patriot League.
- McDevitt was named Patriot League Rookie of the Week after the win, her first career weekly honor.
- Hodgins enters the weekend ranked fifth in the Patriot League in caused turnovers per game with 2.11. She had five caused turnovers in the win over Lafayette, tied for the most by any PL player in a single game this season.
- Geddes picked up a career-high six ground balls in the win. She currently ranks third in the Patriot League in free position goals per game (.78) and her six ground balls are the second-most by a PL player in a single game this season.
- The Big Red currently sports a 4-3 record entering Tuesday's matchup.
- It most recently defeated St. Bonaventure. 12-6, at home on Saturday. Prior to that, the Big Red lost to Brown, 10-6, in its Ivy League opener.
- On offense, it relies upon top scorer Ellie Bergin, who has 14 goals in seven games and has scored in six games this season.
- The defense is anchored by 2025 Second Team All-Ivy selection Caitlin Tully, who leads the team in ground balls (15), caused turnovers (13) and draw controls (21).
- In cage, senior Mackenzie Clark has a 7.74 GAA and a .472 save percentage. Her GAA ranks eighth in the NCAA this season.
- BU and Cornell have met just twice in the regular season, with the Big Red earning both wins.
- Most recently, the Big Red defeated BU 18-17 on April 27, 2013 in Ithaca.
- Before that, the Big Red won, 11-8 on April 14, 2002.
- Cornell is BU's third Ivy League opponent this season and final non-confernence opponent of the 2026 campaign.
