
Styles Named PL Defensive Player of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Junior Logan Styles of the Boston University men's lacrosse team was named Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.
Styles, now a two-time Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week, was stupendous in the Terriers' 10-8 win over then-No. 13/14 Army West Point. He led BU with a career-best four caused turnovers and also gathered one ground ball in the win. He helped force PL Preseason Offensive Player of the Year Evan Plunkett into five turnovers on Saturday and did not allow Plunkett to score while guarding him. Styles and the Terrier defense held the Black Knights to just 16 shots on goal in the victory.
A native of South Hamilton, Mass., Styles has been great all season for the Terriers. He leads BU with 16 caused turnovers and has also gathered seven ground balls. Styles has recorded at least three caused turnovers on five different occasions this season. He begins the week ranked 11th in the country and third in the Patriot League with 2.29 caused turnovers per game.
No. 15 BU will return to action on Saturday, March 21, when the Terriers travel to Colgate.
