Five Divers Score, 400 Medley Relay Medals on Day 2 of PL Championships

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Highlighted by points from five divers and a third-place relay finish, the Boston University women's swimming & diving team remained in fourth place after day two of the Patriot League Championships at Navy.
BU had five of the 16 scorers in the 1-meter dive and placed third in the 400 medley relay.
Freshman Sophia Souza (245.00) and sophomore Sumi Cameron (242.65) took fourth and fifth, respectively, in the diving competition while senior Emily Balicanta (10th, 246.85), senior Kate Russack (12th, 233.00) and freshman Marina Cataldo (16th, 206.40) competed in the B final.
The 400 medley relay of senior Sezin Eligul, freshman Stephanie Liu, sophomore Clarissa Hoyt and sophomore Sydney Sorbello took third place in a time of 3:42.78 to add 32 points to the team total.
Eligul earned 14 points with a fifth-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23.18 while Sorbello placed 10th in the 200 IM (2:03:13) and junior Grace Lange took seventh in the 500 freestyle (5:00.92).
The third day of competition will take place on Friday (Feb. 18) with prelims starting at 10 a.m. BU is currently 21.5 points behind third-place Bucknell. Fans can watch all of the action on ESPN+ as well as track live results on the Meet Mobile app.
