Men's Ice Hockey Places Program-Record 15 on Hockey East All-Academic Team

AMESBURY, Mass. - A program-record 15 members of the reigning Hockey East champion Boston University men's ice hockey team were named to the league's All-Academic Team, as announced on Tuesday.

All 15 Terriers achieved a GPA of 3.0 or better in each semester during the 2022-23 season en route to breaking the previous record of 14 All-Academic selections set in 2020-21.

Senior Jamie Armstrong earned Distinguished Scholar status, having qualified for the All-Academic Team in each of his four seasons at BU. Junior Cade Webber, who graduated as part of the Class of 2023, secured All-Academic accolades for the third straight year while seniors John Copeland and Sam Stevens each made the squad for a third straight campaign. Seniors Domenick Fensore and Case McCarthy joined junior Vinny Duplessis, another graduate in this year's class, as two-time honorees.

Graduate student Patrick Schena joined freshmen Lachlan Getz, Ryan Greene, Quinn Hutson and Jeremy Wilmer in receiving All-Academic recognition in their first year of eligibility. Sophomore Ty Gallagher, junior Dylan Peterson and junior Nick Zabaneh also made the All-Academic Team for the first time.
