BOSTON – Returning to Case Gym for the first time in 10 days, the Boston University women's basketball program welcomes Loyola Maryland on Saturday (Jan. 13). Opening tip is set for 2 p.m.
BU (10-4, 2-1 PL) has won seven of its eight games at Case Gym this year, winning 35 of its last 41 games at The Roof against Patriot League foes. The Terriers look to avoid their first back-to-back losses in league play since Feb. 19-23, 2022.
Loyola Maryland (6-8, 1-2 PL) vies for its second conference road victory in 2024. All three of its road wins this year were by single digits.
Saturday is BU's Girl Dad Game, with free admission for kids in eighth grade and below. Free BU Girl Dad stickers are available at the marketing table, and postgame autographs with the Terriers will take place on the court.

- BU dropped a double overtime tilt at American, 91-87.
- The game featured 16 lead changes and 11 ties, with neither team leading by more than 10 points throughout.
- Junior Alex Giannaros dropped a career-high 30 points on 10-of-21 shooting across 44 minutes.
- Playing all but 43 seconds, senior Caitlin Weimar racked up 26 points, 11 rebounds, and five blocks while drawing 11 fouls.

- BU has hit 46 percent or higher of its shots from the field in seven of its last 10 contests.
- Six Terriers who have taken at least 35 shots this year have connected on over 42 percent of them.

- After dropping a 73-65 matchup to Colgate in their league lid-lifter, the Greyhounds defeated Lehigh by that same margin on Jan. 6.
- Lex Therien paces Loyola Maryland with 17.8 points and 10.9 boards per game, ranking third and second in the Patriot League, respectively. She paces the conference with a .567 field goal percentage.
- The Greyhounds' next leading scorer is Kelly Ratigan at 9.6 points per game, with 31 three-pointers.
- Loyola Maryland was projected to finish ninth in the preseason poll under third-year head coach Danielle O'Banion.
