The No. 2 Boston University men's ice hockey team will begin its Hockey East Tournament title defense on Saturday when the second-seeded Terriers host 20th-ranked and seventh-seeded Northeastern. Puck drop at Agganis Arena is scheduled for 4:15 p.m. Fans can purchase tickets by

TERRIER TIDBITS
- BU, the defending Hockey East Tournament champion, enters the postseason on a five-game win streak and a six-game unbeaten streak after defeating Vermont, 6-1, at Agganis last Saturday.
- The Terriers have not lost in regulation since Jan. 27 and are 8-1-1 since the start of February.
- Northeastern was the only team to defeat BU last month, defeating the Terriers in the Beanpot title game, 4-3.
- That was the third meeting this season between the crosstown rivals that finished with a 4-3 score in overtime.
- BU won by that score at Agganis on Jan. 9 thanks to sophomore Jeremy Wilmer's OT heroics.
- Four Terriers were named Hockey East All-Stars on Friday.
- Freshman Macklin Celebrini was a unanimous first-team selection in addition to being named to the Hockey East All-Rookie Team and earning both the league's scoring title as well as the Three Stars Award.
- Sophomore Lane Hutson became just the second player ever (and only position player) to be named a Hockey East First Team All-Star as both a freshman and as a sophomore.
- Freshman Tom Willander (second team) and junior Mathieu Caron (third team) were also chosen as Hockey East All-Stars.
- Graduate student Cade Webber became the third Terrier in program history to be named Hockey East Best Defensive Defenseman.
- He holds the single-season NCAA record for blocked shots with 118 and counting.
SERIES HISTORY
- This will be the 252nd meeting between the Terriers and Huskies since they first met during the 1930-31 season.
- The only team BU has played more games against is Boston College (294).
- BU holds a 170-69-12 (.702) advantage over the Huskies, including a 17-10-2 edge at Agganis.
- In the 17 meetings that have taken place since the start of the 2018-19 season, 10 have gone to overtime, including all three this season.
- The last four overtime games have all been 4-3 finals, with the teams splitting those contests.
- The two teams have played 36 overtime games in the all-time series, and BU holds a 14-10-12 edge.

- Seventh-seeded NU advanced to the quarterfinal round with a 4-0 victory over 10th-seeded Merrimack on Wednesday.
- The Huskies are 10-3-1 in their last 14 games dating back to Jan. 26.
- Hockey East Third Team All-Star and Best Defensive Forward Justin Hryckowian leads Northeastern with 41 points on 11 goals and a team-high 30 assists.
- Hockey East Third Team All-Star Alex Campbell leads NU with 22 goals and is second on the squad with 40 points.
- Freshman Cameron Whitehead has played 34 games, going 17-13-3 with a .918 save percentage and a 2.88 GAA.
