Women's Tennis Advances to Patriot League Championship, Tops Lehigh 4-0

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Boston University women's tennis team took down fifth-seeded Lehigh 4-0 on Saturday to advance to the Patriot League Championship match.
BU won the doubles point thanks to wins at the Nos. 3 and 1 spots, respectively. Senior Victoria Carlsten and junior Nina Gulbransen took down their Lehigh foes 6-0 at line three while freshmen Blanka DeMicheli and Uma Bakaityte cliched the point with a 6-1 win at line one.
In singles, junior Kaitlin Tan secured BU's second point of the match with a decisive 6-0, 6-3 win at line three. She was followed by sophomore Emily Zhao who won 6-2, 6-0 at line four. Clinching the match was Carlsten who, with a 6-1, 7-5 win, propelled BU to the title match for the ninth time since joining the Patriot League in 2014.
BU will face the winner of No. 2 Navy and No. 3 Army West Point in the title match at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
