Men's Ice Hockey Matches Program Record, Places 15 on Hockey East All-Academic Team

AMESBURY, Mass. - For the second straight year, a program-record 15 members of the Boston University men's ice hockey team were named to the league's All-Academic Team, as announced on Tuesday.

All 15 Terriers achieved a GPA of 3.0 or better in each semester during the 2023-24 season. The Terriers have placed at least 11 student-athletes on the Hockey East All-Academic Team in each of the last four years.

Graduate student Cade Webber, who completed his undergrad degree in three years, earned Distinguished Scholar status after qualifying for the All-Academic Team in each of his four seasons at BU. Graduate student Sam Stevens and senior Henry Graham also received Distinguished Scholar recognition after earning a spot on the All-Academic Team four times. Graduate captain Case McCarthy made the All-Academic squad for the third time while junior Ty Gallagher is now a two-time All-Academic selection. Senior Luke Tuch and junior Jack Page became first-time All-Academic honorees this year.

Eight Terriers earned a place on the All-Academic Team in their first year of eligibility, including reigning Hobey Baker Award winner Macklin Celebrini. Freshmen Aiden Celebrini, Mick Frechette, Doug Grimes, Jack Harvey, Shane Lachance and Max Lacroix joined Celebrini on the squad, as did graduate student and first-year Terrier Nick Howard.
