Jay Named Patriot League Field Hockey Rookie of the Week

BETHELHEM, Pa. - After helping Boston University post a shutout victory over Lehigh in its first conference home game of the season, freshman Addison Jay has been named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday.
In Saturday's 3-0 triumph over Lehigh, Jay collected her first collegiate point with an assist on the first goal of the game. She also helped the Terriers keep Lehigh off the scoreboard for the full 60 minutes, marking the first time the Mountain Hawks have been shut out all season.
Jay was the insert on BU first corner of the game and the play was executed to perfection as senior Payton Anderson drilled home her first of two goals on the day.
The Burlington, Massachusetts, native has been a key player off the bench throughout the first half of the season. This is the first Patriot League honor of her career.
Jay and the Terriers will return to action on Friday (Oct. 4) when they play host to Holy Cross. Game time is set for 3 p.m.
