HOW IT HAPPENED
- UMass Lowell's first points arrived on Larsson's three-pointer 1:50 into the contest, but BU held the visitors without a field goal for the next 8:08 to establish an 11-5 lead that featured sophomore Hildur Gunnsteinsdóttir's nostalgic three-point play and buckets from Adler and sophomore Taylor Williams.
- Klimentina Modeva and Maddie Rice scored on the ends of the first quarter break to cut BU's lead to two, but junior Sisi Bentley drove through the paint to score her first points of the year and create a 13-9 lead with 7:17 left in the second frame.
- Senior Anastasiia Semenova's right-wing three-pointer was the only basket either team scored four the next four-and-a-half minutes as BU nursed a 16-9 lead.
- In the first half's final 2:34, Azmoudeh nailed three consecutive corner triples to hand the Terriers a 25-13 halftime lead.
- The Terriers' largest lead of the day came when Adler responded to Larsson's layup with two of her own to stake BU to a 29-15 lead 1:40 into the third quarter.
- Consecutive River Hawk and-1 plays sliced the gap to single digits, but two more Adler baskets and Azmoudeh's right-wing triple replenished BU's edge to 36-23 with 3:12 left in the stanza.
- Gilmore's jumper and a Larsson three with 1:37 on the timer made it a seven-point affair before Azmoudeh found Adler on the block for a layup, making it 38-29 heading into the fourth quarter.
- UMass Lowell pulled within one possession on an 8-0 run, all from Larsson, during the beginning of the frame. Junior Audrey Ericksen halted her burst with a three at the 5:50 mark for a 43-37 lead.

- Ericksen nailed two foul shots as BU's defense forced five straight River Hawk misses. Out of a Terrier timeout, Adler fought off her defender for a layup with 1:33 left to extend the lead to 47-42.
- With under 35 seconds to go, Gilmore stole a Terrier inbound for a layup to return the game to a one-possession difference.
- Adler blocked Rice's potential game-tying three-point shot with 27 seconds on the clock, and Ericksen once again made two free throws.
- Gilmore countered with a conventional three-point play with 11 seconds left. Junior Bella McLaughlin hit a foul shot with 7.1 seconds on the timer, then Ericksen drew a charge on UMass Lowell's final possession.
