Men's Basketball to Visit Dartmouth for Saturday Afternoon Tilt on NESN

BOSTON – Hitting the road for the last time in non-conference play, the Boston University men's basketball team will visit Dartmouth on Saturday for a 2 p.m. start on NESN.
The contest will feature two of the NCAA's top 3-point shooting teams with BU ranking 22nd nationally at 39.4 3FG% and 48th in averaging 10.1 made 3-pointers per game. The Big Green are 79th (36.4 3FG%) and 33rd (10.8 made 3FGs), respectively, in the same two categories.

- Sophomore Ben Defty earned his second double-double of the season on Wednesday against Maine with game-high 19 points and career-high 11 rebounds. He currently ranks second on the team at 12.6 ppg and first in rebounding (6.7 rpg) and blocks (18).
- Junior Michael McNair leads BU in scoring at 15.9 ppg by shooting 41-of-77 (.532) in 3-point territory. He also leads the team with 13 steals, three more than sophomore Azmar Abdullah (6.9 ppg).
- Freshman Chance Gladden (10.8 ppg) owns a team-high 3.7 apg with senior Ben Roy (6.9 ppg) in second at 2.5 apg.
- Both Roy and McNair are the only two Terriers to have started in all 11 contests.
- BU is 2-5 on the road with wins at Northeastern (76-75 OT) and against Harvard (75-74) on a neutral contest held in Connecticut.
- The Terriers are facing their fourth Ivy League opponent after posting wins against Brown (90-77) and Harvard (75-74) with a 54-49 loss at Columbia.
- BU ranks 70th nationally at 48.3 FG% while averaging 74.4 ppg and holding opponents to 75.5 ppg and 47.7 FG%.
- The Big Green are 2-2 at home after posting 9-4 record last season en route to a 14-14 overall record.
- They've earned wins this year vs. New Hampshire (69-68) and UMaine Augusta (113-68) following losses to Marist (75-56) and Appalachian St., 85-77. The third win occurred at Saint Peter's, 87-61.
- Four men are averaging 9.6+ ppg with 6-foot-5 guard Kareen Thomas averaging team-high 19.0 ppg, while 6-foot-8 forward Brandon Mitchell-Day is nearly averaging a double-double at 12.2 ppg and 8.2 rpg.
- Dartmouth is averaging 76.5 ppg and 44.0 FG% while holding opponents to 76.0 ppg and 46.1 FG%.
- Dartmouth leads the all-time series, 23-11, though BU is 4-2 since the teams faced off in 2018 for the first time since 2002.
- Last year, the Terriers claimed a 78-50 victory at Case Gym to avenge a 63-54 loss suffered in 2023 at Leede Arena.
LOOKING AHEAD
