HOW IT HAPPENED
- BU didn't score until 3:01 into the game on sophomore Hildur Gunnsteindóttir's and-1 layup, one of two in the first quarter for the Terriers.
- Leading 11-7, Adler added breathing with five consecutive points, including two layups, before Azmoudeh knocked down her first triple, extending the margin to 19-11 with 42 seconds remaining in the frame.
- Monteagudo canned a pair of triples as part of a 23-3 run in the first 7:29 of the second quarter. Schwertner made three baskets for eight points during that stretch.
- Leading 48-17 at halftime, BU outscored the Bengals 30-4 in the third quarter. UMaine Fort Kent went 1-for-18 from the field in the stanza.
- Azmoudeh buried a trio of three-pointers in the first seven minutes of the second half and four in the third quarter.
- Classmate Brooke Baisley scored her first collegiate points on a fastbreak layup from Azmoudeh's feed at the 2:19 mark in the third quarter, extending the gap to 72-21.
- With 6:09 remaining in the fourth, BU rattled off a 16-0 run for nearly five minutes to reach triple digits. Gunnsteinsdóttir scored seven of those points while freshman Kate Allard capped the burst with her first collegiate field goal, a nostalgic three-point play on a layup for a 100-29 edge.
- In total, BU went 12-for-26 from three-point range. Monteagudo drilled four in addition to Azmoudeh's seven.
- The Terriers posted advantage in rebounds (48-33), assists (24-4), bench points (37-4) points off turnovers (26-8) and paint points (58-14).
- Sophomore Taylor Williams dished out 10 assists, becoming the first Terrier since Danielle Callahan on Jan. 25, 2014 to reach double digits in that category.
- She shared the team lead in steals with Gunnsteinsdóttir at three. Gunnsteinsdóttir totaled 10 points as well.
- BU's 32 points allowed is its fewest since becoming a Patriot League member for the 2013-14 season.
- The 71-point victory was six points shy of the program's single-game record, set in a 127-50 win over Vermont back in 1980.
- Schwertner collected her second-career double-double, which she last posted at UMass Lowell on Dec. 12, 2024.
- Azmoudeh's seven three-pointers are the most since Alex Giannaros '25 posted that feat against Lehigh on Feb. 26, 2025. She is the sixth Terrier to make seven threes in a game.
- The Terriers won their first matchup against UMaine Fort Kent.
- BU ignites Patriot League play with a home contest against preseason favorite Navy on Wednesday (Dec. 31). Opening tip is scheduled for 2 p.m.
