March 21, 2025 | Women's Lightweight Rowing
BOSTON – The 13th spring varsity season for the Boston University lightweight rowing program is set to begin on Saturday, March 22 against Boston College's openweight crew on the Charles River. The first race is set to begin at 7:48 a.m.
BU, fresh off a team bronze medal at the IRA National Championship Regatta last spring, will compete in eight total events on its 2025 spring schedule. The Terriers ignited the 2024-25 campaign with the 59th Head of the Charles last October. There, BU's Lightweight 8+ and top Doubles crew were the top finishers among collegiate crews while the two Lightweight 4+ entries were top five.
Boston College also participates in its first spring race of the spring and will compete in seven total events, culminating with the ACC Championship in May. All five of the Eagles' crews reached the Petite Finals in last year's ACC Championship, with the Varsity 8 placing second in the event.
Saturday's races will air on ESPN+ using the link above, capturing the races for both the lightweight rowing and BU men's rowing races as that crew takes on Brown. Results can be found on HereNow.com using the link at the top of the article.
