
Terriers Sweep Hockey East Weekly Awards

AMESBURY, Mass. - Freshmen Cole Eiserman and Cole Hutson, junior Quinn Hutson and freshman Mikhail Yegorov all earned a Hockey East weekly award, the league announced on Monday.
Quinn was named Player of the Week while his brother Cole was designated Defender of the Week. Eiserman received Rookie of the Week honors and Yegorov garnered Goaltender of the Week accolades. All four Terriers were instrumental in BU securing a third consecutive trip to the Frozen Four.
Eiserman scored two goals in the 8-3 win over Ohio State in the regional semifinal on Thursday. He leads all NCAA rookies with 23 goals, which is five clear of the next freshman, and is tied for fifth among first-year skaters with 34 points.Eiserman has notched 10 points (7g, 3a) in the last six games. He is the fourth Terrier rookie in the last 20 years to notch 20 goals, joining Jack Eichel (2014-15), Clayton Keller (2016-17) and Macklin Celebrini (2023-24).
Q. Hutson was Saturday's overtime hero, as his 23rd goal of the season 6:25 into overtime sent BU to its 25th all-time Frozen Four. He finished the regional with two goals and one assist and has tallied at least one point in 10 of the last 11 games, including three straight games with a goal. Quinn became just the seventh Terrier since 2005-06 to reach 50 points (23g, 27a) in a single season and is second in the NCAA with 1.39 points per game.
C. Hutson was named Most Outstanding Player at the Toledo Regional after leading all scorers in the entire 16-team field with six points on two goals and four assists. He recorded his third four-point game of the season against Ohio State, lighting the lamp in addition to securing a career-best three assists. Hutson also scored a highlight-reel goal to give BU a 2-1 lead against Cornell. The Hockey East Rookie of the Year enters the Frozen Four as the points per game leader among all NCAA rookies and defensemen at 1.24.
Yegorov was terrific between the pipes for the Terriers, making several timely stops in both victories. He made 33 stops against the Buckeyes and followed with 37 saves against Cornell, including 15 saves across the third period and overtime. He will enter the Frozen Four with a 2.04 goals-against average and a .931 save percentage. Yegorov, who joined the Terriers in January, has posted a 10-5-1 record and has made at least 33 saves in his last three victories, all of which were in the postseason and two of which were in overtime.
