Gulbransen Selected to Academic All-Patriot League Team

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Senior Nina Gulbransen of the Boston University women's tennis team was named to the six-member Academic All-Patriot League Team, the league announced Friday. This is Gulbransen's first selection to the team.
 
Completing a dual degree in Political science, Gulbransen boasts a 3.95 GPA headed into graduation. The senior was inducted into the Scarlet Key in the fall, is a three-time ITA Scholar-Athlete and a three-time Patriot League Academic Honor Roll Selection. She has also been named a CSC Academic All-District selection twice.
 
Gulbransen served as a campus fellow for Governor Maura Healey and was an intern for the Palm Beach County Democratic Party. She has worked as a political affairs intern at the Borgen Project, a nonprofit that fights extreme poverty, and as a fellow for Her Bold Move, which helps women find opportunities to work in politics. The senior recently received the Paul Lewis Student-Athlete Service Award at BU's annual Scarlet & White Awards.
 
On the court, Gulbransen went 9-5 in dual doubles play with a 1-2 record in league play. She was 2-0 in the Patriot League championship in doubles, helping clinch the doubles point in both the semifinal and title matches. Most recently, she held a 3-1 lead at a point in her doubles match at No. 12 Texas Tech before the match went unfinished. In singles, she went 4-5 in dual matches, including a 2-0 Patriot League record.
