Sarah Gilbert

Sarah Gilbert is a licensed, registered dietitian nutritionist with a master’s degree in nutrition from Boston University. She completed her training at Boston Medical Center and joined the Sargent Choice Nutrition Center (SCNC) in 2019.

Through the SCNC, she helps oversee BU Athletics' Terrier Fueling Station. She provides supervision and mentorship to undergraduate and graduate nutrition student employees.

Specializing in sports nutrition, she collaborates with coaching staffs, athletic trainers, strength and conditioning coaches, and sports medicine professionals to support athletes at all levels. Gilbert provides individual counseling, seminars and workshops to address sports-related nutrition concerns including hydration, fueling for performance and recovery, injury prevention, weight requirements and dietary supplements.

Besides serving as a dietitian nutritionist for varsity and club sport athletes, Gilbert also supports Boston-based ROTC programs to help members balance adequate nutrition with their rigorous training schedules.

In the classroom, Gilbert teaches sports nutrition, a one-credit course offered to BU students. In this course, students learn the fundamentals of nutrition and develop skills and strategies to apply these concepts to their daily lives.
