Lombard Nearing All-Time Point Total at Boston University

Needs only nine points to tie mark
Boston, MA- (April 26) Junior attacker Chrissy Lombard (Ellicott City, MD) is nearing the all-time record for points in a career for women's lacrosse at Boston University. She needs only eight points to surpass the 185 points of current record holder Chris Fleming '84. Currently Lombard has 55 points (40 goals, 15 assists) on the season. She netted a season-high six goals in a 14-11 Terrier win on April 19th against the University of Connecticut. Lombard has also scored four goals in a game five times this season, including a 9-8 win in the season opener against Temple. She has totaled 12 multi-goal games and has appeared on the scoresheet in every game this year for the Terriers.
The Terriers leading scorer, Lombard notched her 100th career goal as part of four-goal outburst against Drexel on March 24th.
For all of her achievements, Lombard has been named America East Player of the Week three times this season.
Lombard tallied 56 points (44 goals, 12 assists) for the Terriers her freshman year, and 66 points (45 goals, 21 assists) during her sophomore campaign.
Boston University is 12-3 on the season and is currently ranked 10th in the nation. The Terriers end the regular season on April 30, when they take on America East foe Hofstra University at Nickerson Field at 12:00PM. Admission is free and open to the general public.
