Lacrosse Rolls to 12-2 Victory at Harvard

CAMBRIDGE, MA (April 5th) - Junior midfielder Chrissy Lombard (Ellicott City, MD) scored four goals and added an assist, and sophomore midfielder Ericka Hergenroeder (Annapolis, MD) scored three goals to lead No. 11 Boston University to a 12-2 win over Harvard University April 5 at Ohiri Field in Cambridge, MA.
Harvard (3-3) got two goals in the first 10 minutes of the game from the stick of Lizzy Frisbie, but were unsuccessful on every other attempt downfield during the afternoon.
After the Crimson staked B.U. a 2-1 lead, Lombard scored two goals, and Hergenroeder added another to give the Terriers a 4-2 advantage at hafltime.
After intermission B.U. scored the game's final eight goals, and its defense currently ranked first in Divison I held Harvard scoreless for the 12-2 win.
Sophomore goalie Brooke Barrett (Bel Air, MD), who has the best goals against average in Division I, played all 60 minutes stopping seven Crimson shots.
Harvard's goalie tandem of Nora Guyer and Keltie Donelan combined for 21 saves. The Terriers host Old Dominion on Sunday, April 9th at 12 p.m.
