Harrington, Holman Named To America East All-Championship Team
November 4, 2001 | Field Hockey

BOSTON - Junior tri-captains Susan Harrington and Casey Holman were selected to the America East All-Championship Team following their performances in the Terriers' 2-1 loss to Delaware in the semifinals of the Championship.
Harrington single-handedly kept B. U. in the game in the second half. With the Blue Hens pressing the offensive action late in the game, Harrington stopped a series of shots that would have given Delaware a two-goal lead. Overall, she made three saves.
In the first half the Terriers defense held Delaware to only three shots, thanks in part to Holman's strong defensive play. On the season Holman scored three goals and added two assists for eight points, tying her for fifth on the team in scoring. She tallied the game-winning goal in the Terriers' 2-1 victory over Drexel on Oct. 14.
Boston University ends its season with an 8-11 record. The Terriers' appearance as the No. 2 seed marked the 12th time in the 12 years that the conference has hosted a field hockey championship that the team was a part of it.
