Women's Tennis Vs UMass Cancelled Due To Weather

The Terrier women's tennis team had its second straight home match cancelled on Sunday (April 7th) as the scheduled match against UMass was cancelled due to cold weather. On Saturday (April 6th), the match against Temple was cancelled because Temple did not have enough players to field a team.
The Terriers will try to return to action on Tuesday (April 9th) when it travels to Boston College for a 2:00 p.m. match. Their next home match is scheduled for this Saturday (April 13th) when the team hosts Quinnipiac at noon. They will close out their regular season on April 16th with a 2:00 p.m. home match against Providence College.
Following the Providence match, the Terriers are off until April 26th when they travel to New Haven, CT to play in the America East championships. B.U. has won the last eight conference titles and 12 of the last 13. The last three years, the conference title came with an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. In 1999, the Terriers took on Pepperdine. In 2000, they traveled to UCLA, while last year they journeyed to Stanford.
The Terriers, who are 3-7 this spring, last played on March 30th, when they lost a hard-fought 4-3 match at Dartmouth. It was their third straight 4-3 decision. They defeated host Cincinnati, 3-2, on March 17th. They then lost at Brown, 4-3, on March 20th before they traveled to Dartmouth.
