Terrier Lacrosse Earns 12-8 Win Over Monmouth

St. Petersburg, FL - The B.U. women's lacrosse team improved to 2-0 on the season with a 12-8 win over Monmouth on Thursday, March 11. Junior midfielder Alyssa Trudel (Shoreham, VT) led all scorers with four goals and an assist.
Leading 5-3 at the break, the Terriers used a six-goal run to put the game out of reach in the second half.
With her five-point effort, Trudel moved into sixth-place on B.U.'s career scoring list with 145 points. Trudel passes Ericka Hergenroeder, who totaled 142 points from 1999-2002.
Sophomores Lindsay Lewis (Glenelg, MD) and Kaitlyn Cuneo (Marlton, NJ) each scored two goals while junior attacker Kelly Trahon (Needham, MA) had a goal and two assists. Senior defender Sasha Lang (Cornish, NH), junior midfielder Hannah Cross (Concord, MA), and sophomore attacker Mary Beth Miller (Berlin, NJ) each contributed a goal.
Stacy Sydlo led the Hawks (0-1) with three goals and an assist.
Junior goalkeeper Anne Sheridan (Baltimore, MD) made eight saves for the Terriers.
Lauren Strina made 12 stops for Monmouth.
B.U., ranked 11th in the nation, next competes at #4 Loyola on Friday, March 19 at 4 p.m.
