Women's Tennis Competes at National Invitational

BOSTON ??? Members of the Boston University women???s tennis team competed this past weekend (Oct. 8-10) at the USTA National Tennis Center Women???s College Tennis Invitational. Twenty-two of the top-ranking women???s NCAA Division I programs competed in the 3rd annual ITA event.
Four BU players, including Gina Sabatino, Erin Katims, Laura Ahmes and Cori Lefkowith, were invited to the event.
The Terriers competed hard with Katims and Lefkowith each splitting their two singles matches. In doubles play Sabatino/Katims and Ahmes/Lefkowith each went 1-for-3 on the weekend.
The team next plays in the ITA Tournament at Army, Oct. 21-22.
