Women's Tennis Drops One-Point Decision To Richmond

Richmond, VA-The University of Richmond women's tennis team won the all-important doubles point and three singles matches en route to a 4-3 win over the Terriers on Sunday, March 20.
For the Terriers, highlights included a number two singles win for Gina Sabatino (Waltham, MA) over Robin Carter in three sets, 5-7, 6-4, 10-3. Katrina Draganova (Coral Springs, FL) also posted a win at number five singles victory against Yelena Zivahovic, 6-4, 7-6. B.U. won the match at number six singles by default.
Richmond's doubles wins came at the number one and two spots. At number one, Erin Katims (Boca Raton, FL) and Draganova lost 8-1 to Lindsey Cox and Megan Wolfgram. Courtney Klein and Robin Carter defeated Sabatino and Monica Shepherd (Austin, TX) in number two doubles by a score of 8-3.
In singles, Richmond's wins came at the numbers one, three and four.
Lindsey Cox defeated Katims in number one singles, 7-5, 6-0, while Aimee Charest (Somerset, MA) was defeated in straight sets by Klein, 6-2, 6-2, at number three singles. Number four singles featured a match between Draganova and Zivahovic with a 6-4, 7-6 win for the Richmond player.
