Today we had the day free to spend our time shopping in the town or on the beach. Later in the day we departed to play our second and last game against the Queensland State lacrosse team. This time there was a full team there however, some of them were half our size and age! Even though they were younger and smaller, we had a lot of fun playing against them. Anne made her debut on the field and even scored a goal! There were some awesome behind the back shots from many people on the team. Overall it was a great experience and an honor to play people from a different part of the world.

Today we departed early this morning for Cairns. From the plane it was an amazing view of the coastline of Australia featuring many beautiful coral reefs. We had the afternoon to shop and explore Cairns and see what it has to offer.
Saturday, June 11th
Today we got up before the sun to head to Tully, Australia to spend the day white water rafting. Although some were nervous in the beginning, everyone had fun in the end. The rafting offered us the opportunity to jump off a cliff in the middle of the river and some people got creative and did flips off the cliff. A number of people fell out and the day was filled with many laughs. It was surely worth the early morning wake up.
Sunday June 12th
Today we went to Hartley’s Crocodile Adventure farm. Our expectations were exceeded when we found out we wouldn’t just be taking pictures with small crocodiles! The crocodile farm ended up being anything but boring. When we first entered we were all excited to find Koalas around the corner. We spent much time looking at the Koalas and watching different animals in the park. In the park we took a boat tour and witnessed a croc feeding as well as a croc fight! We also got a tour of the croc farm and learned how it works. On the way back we stopped at Ellis beach where we ate and strolled on the beach. Overall, it was an amazing and exciting day.
Tomorrow we look forward to exploring the Great Barrier Reef and full advantage of our last couple of days in Australia!
See you soon, Jenna & Lauren
