Hauser Named America East Player of the Week

BOSTON - After putting a together a record-breaking performance in the Terriers' 20-5 home victory over conference rival New Hampshire, sophomore Jenny Hauser has been named the America East Player of the Week for the second time this season, as was announced by the league office on Monday. Hauser enters the America East tournament with a program-record 89 points.
Hauser tied the school record for points in a game for the third time this season, as she had a hand in nine of BU's goals in the win over UNH, helping the Terriers clinch a share of the regular-season conference title.
She scored four goals and added a career-high five assists, breaking former teammate Alyssa Trudel's single-season points record of 86 in the process. Hauser's four goals also tied the BU record for goals in a season at 62, a mark initially set by Chris Fleming in 1984.
Hauser added three ground balls against the Wildcats and recorded a goal and a caused turnover earlier in the week in a road loss at Dartmouth.
Hauser and the Terriers will travel to UMBC for the America East Championships on May 5 & 7. BU, the No. 2 seed, will face third-seeded Stony Brook in Friday's first round. Game time is set for 2 p.m.
