Terrier Trio Named to IWLCA Academic Honor Roll

Three members of the Boston University women's lacrosse team were were named to the 2006 IWLCA Academic Honor Roll, as juniors Angie Martin and Nicole Cooper, along with senior teammate Colleen McClay, were among the 141 Division I student-athletes honored. The Honor Roll is comprised of upperclassmen who have a minimum GPA of 3.5.
Martin, a communication major, finished up her junior season with 32 points on 19 goals and 13 assists. A two-time America East Academic Honor Roll selection, she also collected 35 and scored a pair of game-winning goals.
McClay, who graduated in May with a degree in graphic design, joined the Terriers' lacrosse squad as a senior and appeared in nine contests between the pipes as the team's backup goalkeeper. She posted a 7.01 goals against average and stopped exactly half of the 42 shots on goal she faced.
Cooper wrapped up her second season as an undergraduate assistant coach for the Terriers and the former all-conference honoree is pursuing a degree in human physiology.
