BOSTON -- The four-time defending America East champion Boston University women's lacrosse team and head coach Liz Robertshaw have announced the signing of seven student-athletes who will join the Terriers as members of the Class of 2012.
"I'm thrilled with this year's recruiting class and looking forward to seeing the impact these players are going to make on BU Lacrosse," said head coach Liz Robertshaw. "Having graduated a strong pair of seniors in Lauren [Morton] and Molly [Collins], we were looking to bring in players who could continue to raise the level of the program and make their presence known immediately. I feel this group of seven student-athletes can do just that. These players know our work ethic on and off the field, they know our tough nosed style of play, which has led to our past successes as a team, and they are excited to be a part of it."
Brittany Carlin (Summit, N.J.) was a multi-sport standout at Chatham High School, also competing in field hockey. A four-year varsity member, Carlin was an honorable mention in the Iron Hills Conference as a junior before earning first-team honors as a senior. In addition, she garnered team MVP accolades in her final campaign as a captain. Carlin also played with the Metro Magic club team.

She finished her high school career with 311 goals and 392 points - both school records - and was also an accomplished track and tennis athlete at Nanuet. Frey competed with the Hudson Valley Hurricanes club squad.
A Glen Arms, Md. native, Jordie Lopez was a two-year starter at Notre Dame Prep and was the team's leading scorer as a senior. The squad finished in the top 20 in the nation during her senior year. Lopez, who played with the Baltimore Lacrosse Club, was a multi-sport standout who also competed in soccer and field hockey at Notre Dame.

Oakey also participated in cross country and field hockey.

She also played for the Hero's club team with fellow future Terrier Brittany Vieira.
Annie Stookesberry (Denver, Colo.) was a multi-sport athlete at Kent Denver, where she also participated in field hockey, tennis and golf. As a freshman and sophomore, she was called up to the varsity squad for the playoffs before making the team outright as a junior. Stookesberry's high school career culminated with first-team all-league honors as a senior, while also being named to The Denver Post's "Top Ten Attackers To Look Out For" list.
