Greene, Hackett Earn America East Weekly Awards

The Terriers swept the America East weekly field hockey awards on Tuesday, as junior Andrea Greene was named Player of the Week and freshman Madeleine Hackett earned Rookie of the Week honors. The duo helped BU earn two home wins over the weekend and improve to 9-4 (2-0 America East) on the season.
Greene had the top performance of the weekend with a hat trick in a 4-0 win over Fairfield on Saturday. The junior striker added a goal and an assist the following day in a 4-1 victory over Dartmouth. She continues to lead the Terriers in both points (25) and goals (11).
Hackett earned the first two starts of her collegiate career and came through with her first goal in a BU uniform when she opened the scoring just 2:29 into the game against the Big Green.
BU will look to remain undefeated in conference play when it returns to action on Saturday (Oct. 16) for a road contest at New Hampshire. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
